Subaru Outback (BR): Reporting safety defects (USA)
If you believe that your vehicle has a defect which could cause a crash or could cause injury or death, you should immediately inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying Subaru of America, Inc.
If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA cannot become involved in individual problems between you, your dealer, or Subaru of America, Inc. Power door locking switches
1) Lock
2) Unlock
All doors and the rear gate (Outback) can be locked and unlocked by the power
door locking switches located at the driver’s side and the front passenger’s side
doors. To lock the doors, press the front side of the switch.

A: REMOVAL
1) Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle.

2) Disconnect the rear vehicle speed sensor connector.
NOTE:
Secure the transmission harness to the transmission
body using wire etc.
3) Remove the extension case.
