The shock sensors trigger the alarm system when they sense impacts applied to
the vehicle and when any of their electric wires is cut. The alarm system causes

1) Change the front hood damper mounting position
from (A) to (B), and completely open the front
hood.
Tightening torque:
20 N*m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.8 ft-lb)
2) Remove the V-belt covers.
3) Collect the refrigerant from A/C system. <Ref. to
AC-24, Refrigerant Recovery Procedure.>

● When the engine low oil level warning light illuminates, have your vehicle
inspected by your SUBARU dealer as soon as possible.
● The engine oil consumption rate is not stabilized, and therefore cannot be
determined until the vehicle has traveled at least several thousand
